Weekly Report: December 30th 2024 - January 5th 2025

The Week in Summary:

  • Over the course of the week, both Taylor and I have been off work, enjoying each other's company. This is a blessing to say the least and I am grateful for the work-free quality time we have been sharing together. Taylor goes back to work on Monday, and I'm back on Tuesday.
  • For New Year's Eve, Taylor and I joined Jan and James' for a murder mystery dinner party. Alexis and Krystal joined us too! The murder mystery took place on a train in the lead-up to the First World War and I played a Turkish cashmere merchant. Unfortunately for myself, I was allegedly ruthless and corrupt in my business affairs, so I met a fairly brutal murder by another player. Taylor, on the other hand, was the initial murderer. They got away with it too.
  • Like last winter break, we watched another realty TV. This time it was Season 3 of The Ultimatum. It was very messy and that's what makes it fantastic. Nick and J.R. were earnestly yikes - some therapy is definitely needed.
  • Taylor and I played a lot of Age of Empires IV this week and started getting into multiplayer online matches. Online, other players went a little nuts and we learned that we need much more improvement before we can go truly toe-to-toe with them. For myself, I also played Lethal Company and Isonzo (currently reading a book about the Italian front of WW1 right now) throughout the week.
