Weekly Report: February 10th - February 16th 2025
The Week in Summary:
- The work week had one novelty: the Calgary City Teachers Convention. The team and I prepared for and hosted our spaces for professional development opportunities for local teachers. It was a nice break for the usual, but it was too sedentary for me at times.
- For Valentine's Day, Taylor and I went for dinner at Khao San Thai Kitchen on 17th Ave. We had lychee refreshers, spring rolls, red curry with tofu, and pad see ew. All together, a very good night!
- On Saturday, Taylor and I did a bunch of cleaning, baking, and cooking. For the evening, we hosted our dinner party and had lovely friends (Alexis, Amy, Ang, and Katelyn) join us. We served stuffed peppers with tomato sauce on mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts (which I took out of the oven too early - oops), rose strawberry spritz, and a Victoria sponge cake.
- For Sunday, Taylor and I joined our family for an absurdly long, but undeniably fun, game of Twilight Imperium. With eight players and a larger map than usual, we played this space grand strategy game for nearly twelve hours. I played the Ghosts of Creuss (a faction specializing in wormholes) and focused on high mobility. That being said, near the end of the game, my military looked pathetic, but at least wormhole connections were created across the galaxy and chaos was amplified. Taylor and another player tied.
- This week, after recently meeting with my doctor, my medication's dosage was increased. This feels better than my prior dosage. Additionally, this week I began with a new therapist and the first session was a great start!
