Weekly Report: March 10th - March 16th 2025

The Week in Summary:

  • Fairly slow week all things considered. I finished a book, preordered Crusader Kings IV's new season pass (because I am a Paradox shill), got lots of errands done (bicycle is ready for when the snow fully melts), and worked on a new household budget (more on that later). On Friday, Mark Carney was sworn in as Prime Minister and his first action was repealing the carbon tax. What a fucking world this must be for the Conservative Party. Just a colossal reversal in the polls.
  • On Saturday, Alexis, Taylor, and I went to Bow Habitat Station to see the exhibits, aquarium, and feed a bunch of rainbow trout in the hatchery. It was really interesting to see such an operation happening along the Bow River. Afterwards, we met up with Katelyn, Ang, and Krystal for brunch at Monki Breakfast Club (personally I found it fairly mid) and went shopping in Inglewood. On Sunday, I spent much of the day listening to music, reading, and playing No Man's Sky.
  • Taylor and I got ourselves a sunrise alarm clock to have an easier time getting up in the morning and it has been working so far. The additional bonus is the fact I have been using it to listen to FM radio (favourite stations include CBC Calgary and CJSW so far).
  • To finish off this weekly report, I'd like to have a moment to celebrate finally paying off all our credit card debt after years. moment passes Okay, onward!
