Weekly Report: March 24th - March 30th 2025

The Week in Summary:

  • Due to the CBE's Spring Break, I had the entire week off to unwind - thank goodness! Taylor had to still work a bunch, but I managed to get some extra quality time in with them - which is a blessing!
  • For most of the week, I found myself at cafes, bookstores, and tea houses in Kensington and Beltline. For that reason, whilst I did spend time with my bullet journal, I got a lot of reading done. I made progress on a few books, but ultimately finished two: Héctor Tobar's Our Migrant Souls: A Meditation on Race and the Meanings and Myths of “Latino” and John Green's Everything Is Tuberculosis: The History and Persistence of Our Deadliest Infection.
  • Additionally, No Man's Sky released their Relics update and their accompanying expedition, both of which were oriented around planetary paleontology. In any case, I managed to finish it fairly quickly.
  • And of course, over the week, I got to spend time with my dear friends. On Wednesday, Amy and I walked down to Elemental Cafe to chat, afterwards we joined Macs, Taylor, Alexis, Krystal, Ang, and Katelyn at Confederation Park to enjoy an evening picnic with a cozy fire. On Friday morning, Taylor, Alexis, and I went to Turca Breakfast House to have Turkish breakfast with black tea. For Saturday evening, we had Katelyn and Ang over for sushi and a game of Root (Ang kicked ass).
  • Also, just before our spring snowstorm, I managed to get my first bike ride of the year out of the way - as short as the trip was.
