Weeknotes: June 1st - June 7th 2026
Disclaimer: It should be mentioned that Weeknotes are always a snapshot of the week itself and lack the fullness of life - as is the case with any personal blogging.
✨ Happenings
- For Monday and Tuesday, I came down with a sinus cold and was off for a couple days of work. I mostly laid on the couch reading, listened to the relentless heavy rain outside, and played some games.
- Outside of work, I fit in time to go bouldering, played Marathon with Avery and Dylan, read about crossword puzzles, and joined Jan, James, Taylor, and Dan for Come From Away at Theatre Calgary.
- For Saturday, I stayed at home to complete some errands around the neighbourhood, went shopping for vinyl records, and did some more deep cleaning in the condo. In the evening, I played Marathon and listened to some of the new records I picked up.
- On Sunday, Taylor and I biked down to Bolder Climbing Community for bouldering. For lunch, we stopped at Unimarket for empanadas (as per tradition) and got home before the rain got too heavy. For the rest of the day, I went to the record shop, played Marathon, and finished reading my book. We also watched more of Dropout's Game Changer with dinner.
- For books, I finished reading Natan Last's Across the Universe: The Past, Present, and Future of the Crossword Puzzle. As for video games, I played Marathon. This is more exciting than most weeks for the game as the prior season ended (finished Cryo Archive as last game) and Season 2: Nightfall began. I also played a Sokoban-style puzzler themed around chemical bonds called Sokobond.

👣 Taylor's Footnotes
- This last week involved a lot of late work nights! As such, I don't really have much to report.
- On Saturday, I spent the day at my parents playing my Uncle Dan's Vampire the Masquerade campaign, and had dinner in the evening over there with both family and family friends.
