Weeknotes: June 22nd - June 28th 2026
Disclaimer: It should be mentioned that Weeknotes are always a snapshot of the week itself and lack the fullness of life - as is the case with any personal blogging.
✨ Happenings
- With the academic year over, our team worked to clean and organize the science centre's classrooms. We had more flexibility with time to head out for work lunches and got to take part in the launch of a new dinosaur-themed exhibit! Outside of the work week, in the evenings we did what we normally do, but we did manage to reorganize our cren one evening and join Jan and James for dinner on Friday.
- On Wednesday, I took the day off of work to go climb Mount Yamnuska with Nyx. We got to some excellent vistas and found beautiful wildflowers, so I got a lot of photographs (posted over on my nature journal entry). But more importantly, I am just so blessed to be able to spend the day with Nyx in the mountains! After the hike, we went to Vegan Street Kitchen for an early dinner.
- On Saturday, Taylor and I went bouldering with Katelyn in the morning, then tried out Grumans Deli for lunch (which was not very good). For the rest of the day, I hung out at home to do some household chores, try Meccha Chameleon, post a few blog entries, and listen to music.
- On Sunday, Taylor, Amy, Macs, and I joined Ang and Katelyn in helping them move their belongings into the U-Haul in preparation for moving in the following day. With lots of rain throughout the busy day, we enjoyed Pho 26 for dinner after finishing for the day! Taylor and I are both so excited for Katelyn and Ang - and selfishly, are grateful that they ended up choosing a place that happens to be a little closer by us too!
- For books, I continued reading Ellen Atlanta's Pixel Flesh: How Toxic Beauty Culture Harms Women. As for video games, I played some Marathon, but not as much as the weeks prior.

👣 Taylor's Footnotes
- Hi all! I am adding my lil note in on Sunday night at 9:43pm lol after having the privilege of helping out our lovely buds Katelyn and Ang move house - I am keeping things short and sweet here as a result!
- This was a good week, despite mostly 10-12 hour work days. Lots of big decisions got made at work that left me with relief. We are thriving!
- It was really nice being able to both see my parents this week, and help out our friends. We also re-organized our cren (craft/den for those out of the know), so now have both a laptop and computer set up for gamin'! If I can get any games working on the laptop maybe we will finally be successful in joining any of our friends and family for a game some weekend soon. Here's hoping!
- Take care all - love you!
