✨ Happenings

  • For the weekdays, I managed to keep myself occupied with reading and playing games, but notably, Taylor and I watched The Death of Stalin, Krystal and I went bouldering together, and I watched the Artemis II launch.
  • On Good Friday, we had Katelyn and Ang over for lunch and a game of Root with the new expansion (and Katelyn won). Afterwards, we got ice cream from Made By Marcus. For the rest of the day, I puttered around the house reading and playing games.
  • Bright and early on Saturday, Taylor, Nyx, and I went to Nose Hill Park to meander around for a couple hours and enjoy the beautiful sunrise. Afterwards, Taylor and I joined Katelyn and Ang for bouldering, with a stop at Unimarket for lunch (which was incredible good-tasting and had great yerba mate prices).
  • For Easter Sunday, I joined Alexis for coffee and a sweet treat at Butterblock Cafe for a couple hours in the morning (I hadn't seen Alexis since her surgery 💜). For the rest of the day, Taylor and I joined the family at Jan and James' place. We looked at photos from their trip to Jamaica, played Carcassonne, and enjoyed a fantastic dinner!
  • For books, I continued reading Kim Ghattas' Black Wave: Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the Forty-Year Rivalry That Unraveled Culture, Religion, and Collective Memory in the Middle East. As for video games, I continued playing Marathon and started playing Astro Bot with Taylor (one of the few Playstation 5 games we got on sale this week).

👣 Taylor's Footnotes

  • This week was a lot (especially March 31st - yay grants) and I am so, so glad to finally be on my week off! I am looking forward to playing games with friends, maybe going climbing more, and spending some much needed time catching up with friends, family, and rest.
  • I didn't do much exciting without Chance this week, and I imagine that I'll have even less to separately report this week as I truly am looking forward to hanging out together more! Yay!
  • On a total side note - we learned a new thing this week - peep this Peep Sushi! This batch was made by Teegy and Cadence, who were gracious enough to share photos of their dark arts with us. Truly wonderous creations!
