Weeknotes: March 9th - March 15th 2026
Disclaimer: It should be mentioned that Weeknotes are always a snapshot of the week itself and lack the fullness of life - as is the case with any personal blogging.
✨ Happenings
- Thankfully, over the course of the week, the health emergency engulfing my family turned towards recovery. Medical intervention worked wonders and I am so grateful for the healthcare professionals for fulfilling their public duties with such expertise.
- On Monday, I cast my online vote for the New Democratic Party's leadership contest and I put Avi Lewis at the top of my ballot. Here's hoping for a radical at the helm!
- On Thursday, my Marin Presidio 3's carbon belt drive snapped on the way to work and I had to bring it in for replacement and repair that evening (with a tune-up for good measure). I am thankful that Alexis helped me out with getting up to the bike shop. I will hopefully be able to pick up my bike early next week!
- For the weekend, I went bouldering (completed a V4) with Katelyn and Macs at the Bolder Climbing Community, finished reading a book from the library, went on a long morning walk with Nyx at Weaselhead Flats (we seen a majestic pileated woodpecker), and had dinner at The Porch/played a board game with Jan and James.
- For books, I finished reading Alice Bolin's Culture Creep: Notes On The Pop Apocalypse and continued reading Heather Ann Thompson's Fear and Fury: The Reagan Eighties, the Bernie Goetz Shootings, and the Rebirth of White Rage. I also continued playing Ghost of Yotei (sooooo good), and started playing Outward with Taylor.

👣 Taylor's Footnotes
- I have requested my own little section! I won't be giving my own updates every week, because Chance and I do about 99% of things together usually - but on the rare occasion that I do something on my own I wanted a place for it (without making my own blog!).
- Somehow Chance's fiendish sandwich having habits paid off - Scozzafava's chicken sandi special this month featured an opportunity to win... SUMO FEST TICKETS.... Low and behold, we won! Chance wanted to climb, so on Saturday I coerced my good friend Vicki into attending. Of course, they were shit seats but it was an experience! Made better by having a bud to share it with. :)
- While Chance was off braving the outdoors, I joined Alexis at Katelyn and Ang's place for crafternoon. Sadly Mikayla was not able to make it this time, but hopefully another day. Twas wonderful - so much so that I neglected the clock and had to snag a ride from my parents in order to make it back in time for dinner! They'll be going on a great trip soon. Mom, when you read this - I will be thinking of you while you sip wine on the beach in Jamaica - have fun you two crazy kids! <3
