✨ Chance's Happenings

  • Outside of the work week, we tried to get administrative work out of the way, finished Season 8 of Game Changer, had our lovely friends over to our place for snacks and crafting, and I received a new Portuguese flannel in the mail.
  • On Friday, I got my first paycheck from the CBE and it was a monumental financial affair. I picked up a CD player from Best Buy, bought new shoes (as my feet are hurting from being on them all day), and stocked up on lots of coffee.
  • On Saturday, Taylor and I started the morning by going for breakfast at Galaxie Diner. Throughout the rest of the day, we went CD shopping, picked up some new clothing, and finished our Civilization VII game (which I did win).
  • For Sunday, Taylor and I went to Queens Breakfast Cocktails with Alexis and her father for an excellent brunch. After, we stopped in Inglewood to pick up some CDs from Recordland. In the afternoon, Taylor and I joined James for a bike ride along the river and got Greek pizza for dinner at Nikos.
  • For reading, I continued reading Daniel Neep’s Syria: A Modern History - which is quite in-depth. As for video games, I continued playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl and finished our ongoing game of Sid Meier's Civilization VII with Taylor. Additionally, I have been trying a couple quick sessions of Sprawl Zero and Echo Point Nova.

Annex Soda - give me a brand deal.
Seriously, I am selling this soda (and flannel) hard.
Big moment for an Incan emperor!
So damn beautiful!

👣 Taylor's Footnotes

  • I organized a single social event with a few of our wonderful friends! Wow! A first in many, many months!
  • Still so many people still to call though - sending you who may read this, and those who will not, so much love always <333
  • My sleepy brain does not have a ton more to add - other than shock at the passing of time. I hope that by the end of November I will have even more of my brain back. Being able to actually take weekends off has been lovely - something I am still not over. Having my evenings free is still a marvel. I can predict a future of feeling myself again, at long last.
