✨ Happenings

  • The last two days of my short transitory break between jobs was on Monday and Tuesday. For those days, I went biking, did a couple upgrades and a cleaning of our bathroom, read on the balcony, and played some video games.
  • For Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; I spent the first days at my new job doing onboarding, lesson-planning, and preparing the classroom for the Grade 2 students' arrival next week. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, but I am sure my students have first-day jitters as well! Outside of those work days, Alexis and I got take-out at Munch on 17th.
  • On the weekend, I went bouldering with my friends, finished reading a book, played on the Playstation 5 (thank you Avery), got some errands done around the neighbourhood, and went out for dinner at Mount Pleasant Vintage to celebrate Katelyn's 30th birthday (sooooo good)!
  • For reading, I finished reading Yeganeh Torbati and Bozorgmehr Sharafedin's Stolen Revolution: Betrayal and Hope in Modern Iran. As far as the books I've read this year, this is one of my favourites – just a stunning achievement. As for video games, I continued playing Gallipoli and started playing Humankind and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl again.
